We’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone who attended our Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting event on October 19th – it was a grand success! Philip Brown, President/CEO of TEFELEN and Phoenix Mecano, Inc. did the honors of cutting the ribbon with TEFELEN partner Rick Hepburn, President/CEO of Hepburn and Sons, LLC by his side. We invited business people from around the Frederick, Maryland area as well as an array of elected officials and dignitaries to tour our state-of-the-art Busbar and Bus Pipe facility, socialize, and have fun.
“We’re very proud to call Frederick, MD our home; it’s a strong location for our business. It’s a good place to live and a good place to employ our people.” said President/CEO Philip Brown. “This area is very important to me. Our business is dependent on the ability to recruit and retain professional people and Frederick is an outstanding area for this.”
Mike Gill, Secretary of Commerce for the State of Maryland, spoke to the crowd related to the positive future of Maryland business, and thanked the team at Phoenix Mecano for bringing even more value to this area through TEFELEN. Also in attendance were Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner, Maryland State Senator Ron Young, Frederick County Alderman Roger Wilson, Frederick County Council Member Bud Otis, and Julianna Albowicz from United States Senator Chris Van Hollen’s office.
